Saffir-Simpson scale

Category 5

Very catastrophic damage will occur

Category 5 is the highest category of the Saffir-Simpson scale. These storms cause complete roof failure on many residences and industrial buildings, and some complete building failures with small utility buildings blown over or away... Virtually all trees are uprooted or snapped and some may be debarked, isolating most affected communities.

In category 5 storms virtually all trees are uprooted or snapped. This was only known recently, however this was portrayed in the Quran 1400 years before it was discovered.

Quran 69:6-7

And as for Aad; they were annihilated by a furious, roaring wind. He unleashed it upon them for seven nights and eight days, in succession. You could see the people tossed around, as though they were empty stumps of palm trees.

The wind snapped the trunks of palm trees leaving behind empty stumps. Today we know that this is possible in category 5 storms.

How could an illiterate man who lived 1400 years ago have known that wind can snap trees?
